I know there isn't, it's just a cautionary measure. If you take your
time they will be more forgiving than if you apply 2 days after you
entered the country.

Yes, in your case it's required. You'll have to get a full medical done from a USCIS approved civil surgeon (the list is at www.uscis.gov somewhere). Bring proof that you've had vaccinations, otherwise be prepared to get them again. You can get those from someplace cheaper if you want to, just bring proof of them to the USCIS doctor. He will do your medical and give you a sealed envelope. You'll include that sealed envelope (don't open it!) with your AOS package.

Clover,
Don't you (or your Mum ) have a record of your childhood vaccinations?

If not, your GP should be able to send this to you. Though it's likely to take a while.

Clover,
You must have had the childhood vaccinations, I'm sure. Have someone send you your record from home. Youcan show that to the USCIS doctor. If any are out of date (tetnus, etc), you'll have to redo those.

In that case, get ready to have them done again.

That would be a bit drastic... His normal PCP can run titre tests to check for immunity - mumps, measles, rubella, polio etc

Likely to need a booster for tetanus and/or polio I guess.

This is completely off topic, but I'm curious... you wrote, "... and didn`t want to look stupid with my poor spellin"... but then you misspell Belgium and instead of just correcting it, you leave it misspelled and then apologize for it. Why not just correct the mistake and not even mention it? No one here would have known or cared.

You've obviously never been to Belgium! It's better than Luxembourg, but only just.
