Visa stamping delayed
Hey!
I traveled to Europe for Xmas. As I got a new job recently in the US, I had to stop by at the US embassy to get a new visa (H1B) in my passport.
The interview went smoothly and they kept my passport, saying that they hoped the visa would be ready soon but that they had to check my petition in the database ('PIMS' I guess) and that could take some time.
It has been 6 business days now and I have no news. Anybody here who is having the same issue?
Thanks
GG

*Virgin were very reasonable, the US domestic flight (booked through orbits) was not they wanted $150 change fee+$30 Airline Change fee + $200 cost difference of the ticket so I'm on the AmTrak for a 13hour journey 1st class from DC to VT

That will be a much more relaxing trip than the flight would have been! You'll see some nice scenery too.
