Hi:

I got an appointment for getting H1B VISA stamp from US consulate, Toronto. I
received the application package few days ago. It says that the application fee
of $45 cannot be payed by cash or any other means but for a direct payment at any
ScotiaBank branch located inside Ontario using the payment voucher included in
the package.

The problem is, that my appointment is at 8:30 AM and I heard that you need to be
there as early as 6:30 AM to get in. The nearest ScotiaBank branch will open only by
9:00 AM. Since my appointment is on a Monday, I have no luck to make the payment the
day before.

Is there anybody with a recent VISA stamp experience in Toronto? I am really
interested to know how they handled this.

Really appreciate your time and help.

I had my L-1 issued at the Toronto consulate a couple of years ago. I had to pay in
US$ cash. I actually arrived too late to change any Canadian dollars and my
appointment was early morning too. I ended up meeting a fellow-Brit who was in the
queue who changed the money for me.

I'm not sure that it helps much as they appear to have changed the system.

Hi jay

I would like to let you know that I am a Permanent Resident of Canada, living in Toronto and my H1B processing is under way.

Would you please let me know, how do I get an appointment for Visa stamp from US consulate, Toronto and what other steps should I follow in order to obtain Visa?

Your prompt reply will be very helpful.

Thanks and best regards,
