I am jordanian who live in Egypt. I would like to ask that if i have a 5 years valid
"B1" visa to USA for the first time. I need to know should i travel to USA within a
period of time to activate it ? Or can i travel at any time befor the expire date ? .

You can travel anytime before the visa expiration date. make sure your passport is
valid for 6 months beyond the date you intend to depart the US

You can travel anytime till the expiration date. You can even land on the date the
visa is expiring.

The duration of the visa does not determine how long you can stay. For example, you
have a 5 year visa but you may not be allowed to stay for more than 6 months.
