Default Which visa?

I have been offered a job in very specialist electronics. I dodn't have a degree but have 10 years experienece in the field. I have no family and am a UK citizen. Which visa is best to go for, ideally would like to live there permanently. They need me ASAP as they can't find anyone locally and are prepared to prove that point.

My future employer will be sorting visa out from there end but wanted to do some research on timescales.

Which visa would be best for getting to work fast?

Thanks in advance.

The visa that best suits your particular situation.

The path to a GC can be long where you are not in a management role or have a master's degree.

L-1 requires you to have worked for the petitioner for 12 months in the last 36.
H-1 requires a minimum of 12 years relevant work experience, without a Bachelors.

Doesn't sound like you meet either of those criteria.

Though if the OP is as world class/specialist as he makes out, possibly pursue O1

I'd have a go. 10 years is close to 12.

Sounds like your employer is ready to submit something ASAP for you to get the visa. Ask them which visa they will be petitioning you for.

The timescale will depend on which visa you are getting. You'll need to ask your employer what they have in mind.

It isn't about which one gets you working fast....it's about which one you qualify for. Ask your employer; they are the ones who will be starting your paperwork.

Requirements still don't change all that much...you've either got the time for a company transfer, or the experience and skills for H1B, or worldly skills for the O1.

You say you don't have a degree... but did you attend university at all? If so, that counts towards the total you need.

How long have you worked for your current employer, if one year you can file directly for EB1C.

Are you assuming that future employer is the same as current employer? The OP doesn't say that

If its the same employer then they can sponsor your petition, the only problem is there is still no premium processing in this category (eb1c) but your employer can file L1a premium process that and you can adjust status if eligable at a later date in the US
