Does the USCIS case status site notify the applicant when an interview is scheduled or an interview notice is sent?

if you set up a profile, you'll get an email telling you when something has been updated, but as to whether you get any actual info seems pretty hit and miss...

Ours did not. It came in the regular mail one day, quite a surprise. The online case status notifications are iffy at best.
