US Visa interviews in London only in 2021?

US Visa interviews in London only in 2021?
I am waiting for my US J1 visa to be processed and they have recently reopened the London embassy for that visa category. When I however try to book an appointment, it says the next available one is in Aug 2021! Anyone has the same problem? Is this a bug? Waiting for a year would make the purpose of my stay a bit pointless.

- A presidential proclamation will suspend the entry of new H-1B, L-1, H-2B and certain J-1 nonimmigrants, as well as their spouses and dependents, from 12:01am EDT on June 24 through December 31, 2020, with limited exceptions.
Hence no appointments for new applications 'till August 2021?
