US neighboring countries - Visa appointment

Hi folks,

I am looking to get a "new" E-3 visa with a new employer. Canada is super busy and Mexico does not accept new applications. Any other economy ideas?

Cheers,
PS. Now on VWP just passed the interview

I am not sure what you mean when you say that you are "now on VWP just passed the interview," but if you are seeking a FIRST issuance of an E-3 visa, it is unlikely that you'll be able to get a visa in México or Canada as a Third Country National. SOMEtimes, US posts in Canada will take these cases, but if there is anything even slightly irregular about the case, they will likely deny you and tell you to re-apply at the US ConGen in your own country.

If you've had an E-3 before and you are simply getting another one because your earlier one has expired, then Canada is a good choice. Toronto moves pretty fast and is set up to take TCNs. Bermuda and Barbados are SAID to be OK, if you are a British citizen, but I have only had need to submit paperwork for a client's visa in Barbados once. It went well.

Make sure you check the ConGen (Canada, Barbados, Bahamas, or whereever) website to see what you need to get on their calendar as a TCN. A ConGen's ability or willingness to accept TCNs changes with the seasons.

Best of luck,

Thanks so much for the reply. I used to be on the E-3 visa, left my job 30 days ago and return on VWP to look for another job. SoI guess technically this is considered as a new issuance. Isn't it?

Thanks so much

So you had an E-3 visa, but now you've left that job.

1. Are you back inside the USA now on the VWP and have found a new employer and want to leave the USA and return on a new E-3 visa? or...

2. Are you still inside the USA from your most recent E-3 status, and looking to leave the USA and return on the VWP to continue job hunting?

Thank you!
