US immigration
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice. I am dr. and would like to go to the USA. It seems that the most common type of visa being issued is the J1, however, I understand that the condition of this is to leave the USA at some point. The HB1 is more difficlut to obtain. Are there any circumstances in which a J1 can be converted to green card? I am a British citizen, currently in Canada on a work permit, I do not particularly like Canada, have always had a preference for the USA and there are more career opportunities in my field in the USA.
Anyw help would be appreciated.
Thanks
