I just received my fiance's Affidavit of Support forms and his tax returns and a
letter from his employer and a statement from the bank, my problem is that he has not
had the copies of his tax returns notarised, I am wondering if I can get them copied
here in Australia and witnessed by a JP (same as a notary) that tthey are the copies
of the originals, I am just hoping that this could cut down on time from sending them
back to the states and him returning them to me. as I have my interview in Syndey on
the 7th August.

Is there anybody that can help with some information. as my stress levels are going
through the roof. thank you Michelle

They do not have to be notarized, AFAIK. I have never heard of a consulate really
requiring this (however the packet information usually specifies notarized returns
but they have always accepted plain photocopies from what I have seen posted)
