I decided to make the trip to Charlotte early this morning to find out about my advance parole and EAD status. I have now discovered why cases are taking longer than usual.

As of yesterday, they moved offices! They are now in a nice new big office about 2 miles from the old one. This, however, has meant they are up to a month behind on processing with packing up files and reorganizing them in the new place.

I did get a very friendly BCIS officer who is supposed to be calling me by Friday once the files were unpacked and data entered onto the system. Once Advance Parole is over 45 days they will look into it seriously for you. Not a great result but hopefully things will be set in montion now.
