I have a question that I hope someone can help me with. Myself and my husband have
been living in the USA for the past three years, my husband on a H1 visa and I on a
H4. We applied to the greencard lottery for DV2002 and were successful. Our interview
has been scheduled in Ireland at the beginning of April. Our problem is that my
husband has just been laid off from work this week, and does not have another job
offer in the pipeline. As we do not have a letter of offer or anyone to sponsor us in
an affidavit of support, will this go against us getting the greencard. We own a
house, and have enough savings to support us over the next few months. We have paid
taxes since we've been here and have never been out of status, and both have clean
criminal records. Any advice would be gratly appreciated.
Thanks.
