Thanks to Whit and Synchro for sharing! Yes, it will be worth it, amen!

I am glad to have heard from you.

I read what someone wrote: "many of us here are now going through a very
painful process".

I welcome to hear from more of you out there. And also from some who have reunited -
tell us - WAS IT AS WONDERFUL TO GET BACK WITH THEM AS YOU HAD DREAMED IT WOULD BE?

More wonderful. Even though I had spent 2 months in Austria with Reinhard shortly
before he came here, I was still nervous about how I'd react to having him in "my"
space. I'd lived alone for a while, and wasn't sure if I'd get annoyed having him
around ALL the time.

I didn't. =)

On top of everything else, we also feel we have a very solid friendship foundation
and great communication skills from having been through so much separation.

I will say, though, that even now when we have to be seperated for a little while
(He'll go see his Mom for a few weeks, for instance, and I'll stay here) it's still
painful, but at least now I know he's allowed to come back to me =)

For all otters, add the caution "do not try it at home". Many have arrived and raised
the "expectations" high - some with the help of Pfizer - for the first few days or
weeks. Then the INS and the employment scenario whacks them close to the cerebral
point where the controls for several key valves exist. Blood clots in all kinds of
wrong places- pharmaceuticals notwithstanding. For all USCs who have brought in
sponsored aliens with unconditional affection and understanding, life has to have
been good. This is probably so even when native born cohabit. For those who have
attempted to add their own conditions to those of the INS, life will turn out
miserable. Perhaps the docsteen site still has the various notes from the one-sided
horror stories. The original poster may also use the google search.
