Student Marraige and AOS questions!
Hi!!
Thanks to all the knowledgable people who post here!
I have been reading all the information on this group and I have found
out a lot of things i didn tknow about.
THIS IS THE SCENARIO
However I havent yet come across a case similar to mine. I am a F-1
student who is in status and I have entered n Augiust 1999. My visa is
valid til 2004 and is a multiple entry visa. I want to marry my
girlfriend now and file for AOs.
We are your typical college students and I find that most of the
evidence of marraige we dont have or simply dosent apply. We live at
different places but she practically "lives"at my place. She's still
in school too and dosent have a full tme job. We have been together
for about 2.5 years though. Does she still have to file an affadavit
of support. Im a senior on my third last semester and I will gradaute
soon. She's a junior.
I am also a so called "winner" of a green card in DV -2003. Can I
still pursue that applciation as well. My number is pretty hight,17230
for Asia and theres a good chance that it may not come up.
Also if we do file and get an interview and if it is denied because
we d'ont have ample evidencer some other reason what are the
consequences for me and her. I 've heard horror storieds about what
INS officers can do an an interviews.
Please advice us as how to proceed with the 130 and 485.
Thanking you in advance for any help at all.
sincerely,
Steve
