State of the IT market for green card holders?

I was just wondering .. those who have an opportunity to go and work where there's
still strong demand have you given up your GC plans for now?

I've had my GC for about 2 years to I'm 3 years away from naturalization but to stay
in the US is going to hurt my career given the IT market right now. Nobody's hiring
and those companies that are are laying people off soon after.

I have the option of working in the EEC or Australia and I'm beginning to think it's
time to start considering those options given that I'll simply burn too much savings
not working in the US.

Could be worse I could be a H1B just layed off. But I'm not.
