Default Starting the Green Card Process and effect on my wife's H4

Good morning!

A quick question. I am currently on H1B Visa and obviously my wife is on H4. I have heard that once you start the GC process then at some stage during the process my wife will be ALLOWED to work but was wondering if someone knows exactly what stage that is?? When you start or after certain step etc.

Yes. There's no additional fee for applying for an EAD provided you do it at the same time you file for AOS, so you may want to get one yourself also, just in case. It usually takes about 3 months to receive the EAD.
