Sponsorship query

Hi!
I've got a query...We have a friend, who is currently living here in the UK,
who is a USC. She is married to a UK. Fine, no problem there. The problem my
wife and i have been arguing with her is this. Our friend belives that she
can move back to the states, alone with her UKC husband, but not have to be
the main sponsor. She belives that her brother (his brother in law) can be
the main sponsor. Her brother is a USC and is living in the US, and she
seems to think that, because she is out of work here, and therefore has no
income to show to the US Consular in London, that her brother can do it all.
We say no, because as she is the spouse, she must be the main sponsor, and
anyone else would be a joint sponsor. She seems to think that her brother
can file as the main sponsor, and do everything for her.
Can anyone help clear this up, as we belive that she is wrong. As far as i'm
aware, they intend to go the I-130 route.
Thanks to everyone!!!
