Sponsoring Son for Visa - F2B or F1

Sponsoring Son for Visa - F2B or F1
I would greatly appreciate any advice regarding applying for a visa for my Son.
1. I am a PR and have just under 2 years before I can apply for Citizenship
2. My Daughter is a PR and can apply for Citizenship in less than 1 year
3. My Son is a duel Citizen (UK and Australian) Unmarried and 30 years old living in Australia.
I believe I can apply for him using a F2B which currently has a Processing date of Sept 2009 . (7 Years)
Or I can wait until I become a Citizen ( assuming the processing times are similar at the time) using an F1 which is currently at November 2008 which in reality will mean 10 years .
If I apply now as a PR will the application become void once i become a Citizen and also does it become void if he marries .

File now, as long as he does not marry before you naturalise there is no impact.
You do not have to upgrade categories.

Thanks Boiler,
It will probably be 3 years before I get processed for naturalization. What are the consequences if he gets married to a non American ?

You start again when you are a USC, LPRs cannot sponsor married children so it would be void.

Actually just a thought but if he gets married prior to my naturalization do the fees get refunded as the application becomes void?

Fair enough really .
Last question I promise. I assume if we apply it will not have any bearing on his vacation trips when he visits us on an ESTA . He is still able to apply and use the ESTA for short vacations ?
