Sorry if this has been asked before but need advise
Hi guys, need to pick your brains if I can, I have read so much articles that my heads in a spin, I'll give you some background, looking to move to Orlando with my wife for 17 years and my two boys aged 14 and 12, I am aged 42 and my wife is 46.
Now our professional background, I am a managing director of a communications company and have been there for nearly 10 years, I am also a retained firefighter in West Sussex England.
My wife is a company secretary and has been in this position for nearly 10 years.
We are looking to move as I said to Orlando as we have visited Orlando many times and have grown to love the area and people and have decided its time in our lives to relocate if we can.
We will have a large amount of money to help us at first rent a property until we find the area and property we would like to call home, we will also have enough money at that point to pay for the property in full and have no outstanding mortgage on the property.
What I am trying to find out is what type of visa would I need to apply for and what are my chances of employment and relocation to the USA?
Any advice, help, links ect would be appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

Re: Sorry if this has been asked before but need advise
In which case, search for EB5 info, for your $500k. The $200k is referring to an E2, but that's not ideal if you've got kids.
That'll start you off with some options to look at anyway, I'm sure the pros will be along shortly to help you further or tell you if my suggestions are completely wrong!
Good luck.

Another option if you would keep your existing business in the UK running is the L1A.

looking into the EB5 form, it appears investing in a regional center will be an option, it says I have to invest a minimum of 500000 dollars but that will then mean I will not have money to buy a property, does anyone here have knowledge of this form of investment?
It also appears you do not get work within this investment opportunity so that's another consideration.

Have a quick search of the forums and you'll find plenty of threads about EB5. Not working within the investment opportunity isn't an issue, as you'd get green cards from it, so be permanent residents of the US and therefore able to work in any job.
But I do think you need to be prepared to lose the money, getting it back isn't guaranteed.
But have a search and hopefully you'll find lots more info than my scant knowledge!

Some people have got a part of the money back, but it is much better to consider it the cost of 'buying' your family Green Cards.

I would suggest if you are unsure about the specifics you have a consultation with an experienced immigration attorney.

Look on getting any money back or interest as a bonus. You certainly won't be getting any of the capital back for 3 years minimum.

Re: Sorry if this has been asked before but need advise
Also a question to ask if I may, if I invest most of my savings what sort of amounts do houses cost to rent in the Orlando area and I guess what are wages like for jobs, some examples would be great or links to sites would be really appreciated, I have looked at sites for buying properties but not long term letting as would need to be done if I invest an amount of 500000 dollars.
Thanks Guys.
