Simultaneous part time job and full time job on an E2
Hello,
May be someone could help me on that.
I have a full time job in a firm under an E2 visa. I have been offered a
part time paid job, as a teacher, in an US university.
The E2 visa does not allow me to be employed elsewhere than my current full
time job, but I would like to accept the part time job.
Does anyone knows how to 'legally' work around this situation, and be able
to teach along with my full time position?
Best Regards
Mike

You cannot hold more than one status at a time, but if you can find a
status that accommodates both your current job and the teaching job, this
is possible. In practical terms, the only status that I can think of would
be H-1B. To do that, both your current employer and the university would
have to sponsor you for separate H-1Bs.
The other possibility is to get a Green Card - but it would probably take
too long.
