Simple Answer I hope!..i think ;o)
Hiya, thanks for taking time to read this.
I've had an offer from an Employer in the USA to work for them. I was just wondering. Say if I accept the offer, how long it would take to process all the immigration documents and i'll actually be able to get out there and start work?
I.e - what's the timeframe?
Employer proposes position
I accept
...1 week? month? year? Before i get the work visa?
The job i would be going for is in short supply of workers, yet needs alot of technical skill.
Can I work for the company whilst my visa is being processed in the USA?
thanks again, it's really appreciated.
Hooje.

I am assuming this will be your first H1B assuming you are getting an H1B.
I think you can not work until you hav ebeen aproved, this yusually takes
between 2 and 4 months, from personal experience, but it might take longer
or maybe be quicker. Your employer or you can also pay a premium processing
fee, and I wanna say it gets you approved or denied within 15 days or 21
days, not sure which.
