Seven years and eight months later...
...and my visa petition has been approved; family based petition through my Mum.
The whole event was a bit anticlimactic...arrived at the London embassy 07:20 for an 08:00 appointment. There was already a queue of around 40, but they were all non immigrant applicants. I was second in line for immigrant applications. The helpers outside hadn't been given that interview list, so there was a delay getting inside but I probably walked through the main doors around 08:05. I was walking out again at 08:45.
I was hardly asked any questions; who sponsored me; what she did for a living; what my co sponsor did for a living; what did I plan to do for a living.
The interview was on Monday and I got an email on the Thursday afternoon that my package was available for collection from the courier.
Now the purge and pack begins!
