Ugh. I just wrote a long post about our exp'ce today but it got lost. I should have
pasted it to Word first. Just wanted to say that it was fairly easy and the only new documents we gave were our tax forms & W-2s since we applied for AOS 2 years ago; bills, bank statements, and apt rental agreement with both of our names; his Advance Parole docs and latest I-94; photos from our wedding; employment letters. We brought birth certificate originals and copies but since they had been submitted with the AOS application, we didn't have to give those documents again. We did not need a medical exam either, presumably because it was done for the K-1 visa. The interview started about an hour and a half after the scheduled time, but in itself only took 15-20 minutes. It was in the Immigration Officer's office; no sign of the Interview being videotaped. Pls feel free to email me at [email protected] if you have questions specific to the Adjustment of Status interivew in San Jose, CA. I don't have much of a chance to access this newsgroup anymore and I am lost without Dejanews. Thanks to all who have shared their experiences in the past! Caroline |
