Hi,

My company recently started the GC process for me. Normally, my company does RIR.
However, in my case, they said that they will have to do a regular LC because they
are not hiring now and there is a freeze on new recruitment in the company (because
of low demand). The company's lawyer says that since the company is not currently
advertising for workers, my case cannot be processed under RIR and will have to be a
regular LC.

Is this correct? Is there a way to still process RIR for me?

If not, can anyone tell me how much time difference is there between an RIR and an LC
in the current circumstances?

TIA
