Default reuse SSN

I have ever worked as H1B in the states and I had an old SSN at that
time. I stayed out of the country for a couple of years and will go
work there again under H1B, should I use my old SSN or do I need to
re-apply for a new one?

TT

Your SSN is your SSN for life. It's illegal to apply for another one.

Use the same one. Once you are issued a SSN, it is yours for life.

If you still have the card or your name hasn't changed you are all set, otherwise you need to apply for a replacement or corrected card.
