If its a company pension and not a personal pension, it will be frozen and the the growth is limited to inflation and no more than 5%. If you transfer to a personal pension you can access 25% UK/US tax free at age 50 and the fund becomes 100% yours to leave to spouse/kids. Frozen pensions are naff compared to what the new rules allow
