Default Renew Green Card or Apply for Citizenship?
Hi all

Please can some kind knowledgeable person give me some advice?

I want to apply for citizenship. My current green card expires in December this year, and I should be filing a renewal now. If I apply for citizenship now..do I still have to file an I90 now too? IOW can I skip renewing the green card at this late stage and just go for citizenship?

Local practice varies -- it is often possible to obtain an I-551 stamp in a passport without fee if a naturalization application has been filed within a certain time period.
