It is now almost time to file for the removal of the conditions on our permanent
residency and wondered if anyone has already done this and what it involves apart
from more forms to complete and money to pay!!

The I-751 instructions are pretty clear. You need at least 2 notarized (i.e. sworn)
statements from people that know you, and other doucmentation of your marriage. The
fee is $145. The form is quite simple. It gets mailed to the INS Service Center for
your area. In 2 or 3 weeks, you will get a notice extending the green card for 1
year, while they work on the petition.

That's right!! Time to dig up those bank statements, mortgage statements... in fact
anything you can lay your hands on, to prove you have been married and living
together for two years. Mainly co-mingling of finances. Go to:
http://www.mindspring.com/~docsteen/...o/visainfo.htm and click on the "remove
conditions" link from the menu on the left. We, among others, were approved without
an interview. But there are many others who have been called for interviews and then
been approved. Best wishes, Ranjini

We are also scheduled for an I 751 Interview in Indianapolis on
04/29/2002. We also went thru NSC. We also sent a lot of proof of our bona fide
marriage but we were still called. We also have a child together. I hope
our interview also goes well next Monday.
