Question on divorce papers for citizenship

question on divorce papers for citizenshipMy husband and I are trying to apply for citizenship here in the USA we have been permanent residents for over 20+ years now, Trying to fill in the appropriate forms online is proving a stressful excercise,
We are both in our 2nd marriage and have been married for 25years, we got wed before we moved over here, the forms are asking for us to upload our Divorce Nisi papers, well as luck would have it, I found mine, but my husband does not have his, also his 4 children from his first marriage never came over here with us to live (visited all the time tho) and it seems that we need to have copies of all their birth certificates too.
so my question is if we cannot locate my husbands divorce nisi paperwork and maybe not have copies of all of his children birth certificates will that stop us being able to obtain citizenship? also are we expected to take 'original' certificates with us to the interview as I have read this online too.
TIA
Carol

You’ll be wanting your decree absolute, not nisi. In which country did your husband divorce and in which country were his children born?

As BIP states with the links, all of these documents can be requested.

It might delay your filing for a few weeks, but you need the information so you'll have to wait. Do not file the online application and upload the documents sometime later, as this is classed as 'unsolicited information' and can be ignored. Best to do it all upon submission.
