Default Question about IRS forms

I have a question about removal of conditions:
For jointly IRS forms, is it enough to send just the two first pages of the 1040? Or is it necessary to send all the other schedule forms?
Thank you!

I've heard it's better to send the whole tax filing. You can also order IRS transcripts which use less paper, but they take a couple of weeks to get mailed to you.

I copied our whole tax return, including the schedules.

The tax transcripts take about a week to get to you. You can order them via phone. It is better to send the IRS transcript since it is official proof you filed. Your copy of the 1040 could be a dummy for all the USCIS knows.

If you are going to send a copy of the *return* the instructions for I-864 say you have to send the whole thing.. every page and attachment. The I-751 instructions don't make a distinction.

If you send a transcript (free & fast from IRS), you only need to send a copy of what they send you--it's usually 2 or 3 pages, IIRC.
I believe you can get a copy of the transcript faxed to you while you're on the phone with them.. if you ask nicely.

I just sent the first two pages. No problems. Tax returns only form part of the proof required; send them some other stuff as well such as joint bills, bank accounts, childrens birth certificates, etc.
