Processing time for I-765, I-131
Hi:
After a few anxious month, I finally got my LC approved. We had to
redo the recruitment process at the request of the DOL from San
Francisco. After filing the new recruitment report, DOL approved the
case in a week. It was a pleasant surprise for a change.
Now, onto the next step. My attorney filed my I-140 and I-485 at the
same time right before Christmas. The INS service center we file to
is Lincoln Nebraska. I want to find out the process time from someone
who has recent experience with the INS in Nebraska.
1. What is the process time for I-765? My H1-B is going to expire on
Feb 28. Does anyone think, I will get the EAD in time?
2. What is the process time for I-485? Someone told me it may take
two years for I-485. Is that still the case. Does the birth country
still play a role in the process?
