Processing time for H1B visas in London
I'm currently in the process of switching employers and transferring my
H1B. Would like to travel to London instead of home contry (Malaysia) to
process my stamp. Is this possible? If so, is there a long wait? I
looked up the website and it says 5 days- is this true? Canada takes a
day- so did Malaysia. Just would like to take a nice vacation instead of
blowing off vacation days trying to get visa processed.
Another scenario is that somebody said i can still have in-and-out
priviledges with my old H1B visa that has not expired- as long as it
wasn't cancelled. Doesn't getting the H1B transferred to another
employee automatically cancels the old one?
Answers anyone? Thanks!

If you want a new visa for some reason, you can apply for it at any US
Consulate. However, the only Consulate which is required to deal with
your application is the one which covers your country of normal
residence. In principle you can apply in London, but since you don't
appear to have any particular association with the UK they may refuse
to deal with your case and suggest you go to your home country.

The wait for an interview appointment varies considerably and rapidly -
the web site is often not accurate. It's sometimes as short as 5 days,
occasionally even less, but 20 or 30 days is more typical. You can only
book an interview from within the UK. After the interview it takes
about 5 days to get your passport back, though I know of cases where it
took little more than one day.

If your H-1B visa is not expired and not cancelled, then it can be used
to apply to enter the USA in H-1B status. There's no connection between
the visa and any particular employer. If you're applying to enter to
work for an employer other the one named on the visa, you should show
your current employer's H-1B approval notice when you show the visa.

No.
