postponing citizenship interview
HI
DD's citizenship interview appointment has arrived much more quickly than we thought (4 months!). It's actually on the day she arrives back in the USA and she won't get back in time. Anyone postponed the interview and has it been ok?

Re: postponing citizenship interview
The interview letter should have a section enabling the applicant to request postponement . Didn’t do it myself but I vaguely remember the section . Preplanned travel is a reasonable basis . However, there’s no choice or expectation as to when the rescheduled interview would be . There’s a procedural formality enabling the applicant to make an infopass appointment if they don’t get a rescheduled date within a given timeframe (3 months from original date ?), but that’s it .

Re: postponing citizenship interview
We just had to do this for my son's citizenship interview. He received his letter and the interview was scheduled for July 15th which was 3 days after he was leaving on a month long vacation. We sent in a letter with the original interview letter and requested a date after August 10th. Took about 2 weeks and we received another letter with interview scheduled for August 16th.
