Claudia,
I know how terrifying it is to have panic attacks and agoraphobia.
I've been there... but you HAVE to do this. There is no getting out of
it or delaying it. If you do try and postpone the interview, you're
not likely to find it any easier next time round. Get somebody to go
with you and lead you there and hold your hand and just do it!

Tell yourself that you are strong and you can do it. You will be okay.
You can get through the day. If medications help you to deal with the
panic then use them... but remember - YOU CAN DO THIS!

Claudia, it's good that you were able to postpone the interview. But
don't rest on your laurels. You have a condition that is keeping you
housebound and you have to start working on it NOW or it's going to
ruin the rest of your life.

Look at the second interview as being a goal to work towards - tell
yourself that you WILL be able to go to it and that you will NOT
panic. Picture yourself walking in that door and being confident and
strong and on top of the world. You survived all the waiting and
beaurocracy to get to the US and to get married, so you can get over
this too.

Start taking babysteps out of the house. Make it a goal to go outside
every single day at least once. Start by just going out into the yard
or down the street. You don't have to talk to anyone or do anything
special - just get out there into the real world and see that there's
nothing to panic about and that you can cope with it. Stay out for a
little bit longer every day, and practice doing the things you are
scared of just a little bit at a time. You can do this! It's what I
had to do so that I was able to go to America to visit my fiance...
and I did it, so you can too. I still have panic attacks and I know
that I always will, but I know that they are not going to hurt me.

Also, know that you are NOT crazy or insane or stupid or anything bad
- you have an anxiety disorder. They're very common, and you can learn
to control it and get your life back - there's a whole world out there
waiting for you!

Stay away from aspartme. I am currently on a diet & finally caved to drink diet pop instead. I never drank diet pop before cause I had heard different times it isnt good for you. Well I started drinking it & was doing some research on aspartme which is in diet pop. That stuff is bad news. I had no idea that is was 200 times sweeter then regular sugar. People have had so many side effects from consuming stuff with aspartme in. After finding what I had found out I will not drink diet pop ever again or consume anything that has aspartme in.

There are diet pops and other drinks that don't have aspartame; for
instance, Pepsi One.

Claudia, did you go to the interview? Or were you able to reschedule it? I'm curious to know what happened...
