I have submitted my passport for h1 visa in us embassy. I have been asking for last 4 months but they arent returning it. Once, they told me on fone that my passport has been misplaced. I got the newer passport now.

They havent send me any written or email about it. should I send that new passport to emabassy for stamping?

It's never a good idea to compound one mistake with another. I suggest you make an appointment and go in person.
