I had to wait over two years to get the permanent GC. Well, actually I just got the
stamp in my passport. The GC arrives in a few months. Is it just good for ten years? What do I do in ten years? What else do I need to be aware so that I don't find myself the victim of deportation at some point in the far off future? |

You need the card for work authorization, travel outside the country, etc, but you do not lose your *status* as PR. Not having an up to date Green Card will not cause you to face deportation. Mike |
