I'll just keep repeating this until people start believing it: Just because a visa does not specifically allow "dual intent", it does not necessarily follow that "dual intent" is specifically prohibited.

No point in using "Huh?"

I do know what 'dual intent' is

I started my reply with 'Sorry' and finished it by 'Thanks'

You may know what dual intent is, but others who are reading this may not and that's the beauty of a public forum, you can learn so much by reading other people's threads.

Thumbs up Re: O1 visa or other options ? New to forum

Agree with you, my issue was more about 'tone'.

You accused us of going off track, by talking about dual intent which by the way, is favorable for you.(Sometimes the written word comes across entirely different when you read. All is forgiven let's move on)

The O1 is dual intent. You can apply for an O1 and an EB1 at the same time with no repercussions...i.e., immigration won't say "hang on a gosh-darn-minute, I thought you only wanted to stay for 3 years, and here you are applying to stay forever!"

Many experienced attorneys can point you in the right direction with sponsorship, so don't think that no job offer at this early stage will prevent you from getting an O1 down the line. No, you don't need a sponsor for the EB1 but the standard is significantly higher.

Just my unprofessional opinion based on what I've experienced. (I have an O1 for acting).
