Ojo,
Are you saying they actually rescheduled you and gave you an exact date of when to return to them?? How do they know when the background checks will go through? I had my interview in June that went fine and they also could not stamp me because of the same reason, "National Security Check" though my fingerprints have already come back (fingerprints should only take 1 day.)

They told me to wait 1-3 months. Well, 3 months has come and gone already...

Yup. They rescheduled me with an exact date. I remember going down to
Federal Plaza again, handing in my passport (I think it was room
8-100, but don't quite remember) and waiting for an hour or so. When
I got my passport back, it had the stamp and then I walked out.

But this was back in December 2001 (our AOS interview was on Sept. 10,
2001) -- and it seems like they've changed some of the procedures
since.

could you possibly post date when you filed for AOS?

Trying to keep tracking of NYC AOS timing as it seems to be all over the place...

smmochas took this post originally posted from July 2001. So there is little basis for comparison for your purposes.
