Hi

On my G-325 paper, they want me to type my A file-number or soemthing like that in
the top right corner. I dont have a clue what number this is? We havent yet really
sent any papers in, these forms are for filing a I-130, we are already married, and
just gathering papers so far ..

So could anyone tell me what Im supposed to write her? Nothing, or...?

Alec

Put NONE, since you don't have one. Always put NONE if there is nothing that applies
to you. Try not to leave any blanks. Alex, there are sample forms on the doc steen
site that may help you...see the forms section of the site. Alvena

I already have a B1 visa, and I read somewhere that the 7/8 digit on the visa (in my
case eight digits, printed in red) is the Alien Registration Number. Have I made a
grave mistake, and will my fiancee have to file the I-129f again? David.

that is not an A-number, that is a visa number. there is a big difference. Alvena

See the Doc Steen site here:

newsgroup posts and visa links on the internet. If you want or need a lawyer, go to:

Thank you for replying so quickly!

Is it likely that the INS will reject our I-129f because of my error? Dave.

I have no idea...about all you can do at this point is wait and see if you get a
request for further information. Alvena

Okay, thank you. We got the 1st NOA today (about a week and a half after we mailed
the I-129f), and I realise they probably won't have looked in depth at the form yet,
so I suppose we'll just have to sit tight for the time being. Dave.
