Generally, the application will always show refused up until the moment the waiver is approved... however long that takes.
There's really no way to know whether it's right or not. All I know for a fact, is that you can't do anything about it. Ian Thanks Ian |
Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application
When i kept checking mine, not once did it ever say " Administrative Processing", mine took about 6 months to approve. Came back from the states last week after booking a last minuite holiday after getting my waiver approved :)

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application
What did it say? Did the dates update at all?
When was your interview? |
Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application
It said refused even when dates were updated although i didn't check it for 5 days until i got the approval but i doubt it still even changed status. My interview was in december 16 and it was approved last month.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application
Hi all
The day has finally arrived and I have just got my email to send my passport. Timeline info below. 1. Read the forum for years which gave me the confidence to finally apply. 2. One conviction for possession of ecstasy and amphetamine in 2002. 3. Fine and community punishment order. 4. Interview on March 3rd 2017 5. Email to send today (under 5 months) Thanks to all the people who have contributed. A big thanks to Material Controller and Ian MSTM for their knowledge and honest advice. One last bit of help. The email says no supporting evidence needed so just to send the passport yeah? Also I can clearly see that it says to print out page 2 and put it in the envelope and page 1 give to the courier. I am guessing page one is just the page with the above instructions on. I don't want to get it wrong as have come so far. Also how long roughly to get back please? Good luck everyone - I am planning a surprise trip to NYC for me and my hubby xx |

Correct.
If you don't know what it is, you'll find out when you print it. :) Otherwise, the instructions seem pretty clear. Maybe 2 weeks, give or take. Ian Thanks for all the info . Passport sent off today |

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application
More daft questions for me.
I have decided to send my passport back by Royal Mail special delivery but I have opted for delivery back to my nearest DX office. How will I be informed when it has been delivered back and ready for me to collect by the courier? Thanks |

Yes on the instructions you can either take it to the courier or send back special delivery. As long as you put page 2 in then you are ok. I sent it this morning. |

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application
Hi, I've been obtaining b1/b2 waivers for nearly 20 years after being found permanently ineligible through misrep. However I've done little with the visa (just holidays and conferences). What have others reasons for travel have others successfully completed with their b1/b2? Thanks

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application
Hi I'm in a similar situation and I'm sure this has been asked many times.y husband had his interview yesterday but was denied a visa due to a drug conviction 11 years ago when he was over 18 years old. He was recommended for a waiver. We are due to go to Florida in October and I know it won't be back in time and yes before anyone says it I know we should have do it sooner, but I am able to change the dates of my holiday and I'm really considering it. My husband thinks I should take our children without him as he's worried that even if we change the dates the waiver we get declined. I'm just wanting to hear people's experiences of get the waiver with a drug conviction since trump came into power. Many thanks

I had a drugs conviction from 15 years ago (ecstasy and amphetamine). I had my interview on the 3rd March and got recommended for a waiver. I had the email last Friday to send my passport. Sent my passport on Monday and had an email today to say it has been sent back out and i should be able to pick my passport up in a few days. If you are recommended then from reading on here you will get it - it's now just a waiting game. Change your holiday dates, sit tight and all will come good. X |

Nonsense. He's creating an issue where none exists. The US has no interest whatsoever in when or where you travel. All that matters, is that you all have either a valid visa or valid ESTA. That said, whether or not you cancel the tickets or travel without him is entirely up to you. US immigration won't care one way or the other.
Completely irrelevant. Nothing about the process has changed. Ian |
Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application
Thank you so much. I've told him this. I think he has got himself onto such a state he is just worried that it will be a no again, and he will have to go through telling are children it's a no again.

If your husband has been recommended for a waiver, then there is a 99+% chance that it'll be approved. It's time consuming for sure and probably a 6 or 7 months wait, but he'll get the waiver if he was recommended for it. Ian |
