If you're happy for me to do so I will add an entry to the spreadsheet for you? Is this your first application?

Yes please so it’s my first application. Attended London 12th May 2025, received the above email yesterday. Historical conviction 20 years ago.

They usually recommend the waiver on the day of your interview; perhaps there's been an update to the process. I am waiting around 13 months; I hope to hear something soon.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

I received this from an immigration lawyer for the us also if it helps anyone

“The US Embassy in London went through a criminal conviction/ waiver analysis crisis in May 2025. I am sure that cases were put aside to be reviewed later, and they may have been left in limbo. A lot of odd things started to happen. The Secretary of State (Foreign Minister for the US) Marco Rubio put out a message in early May 2025 that basically all brushes with law enforcement (not even convictions) would mean visa denials. So this message at this late stage indicates a wait but also a continued waiver recommendation from the US Embassy in London. You may have to wait but you had a confirmed waiver recommendation yesterday, which is terrific. Alternative would be a denial.”

nice one! Your interview was the day after mine so hopefully I hear something soon. Just frustrating that there seems to be no order in how they are processed

Hi all, wanted to update on my situation - I think I was one of the last people on the forum to still be waiting to hear as my interview was back on 28 Oct 2024. I finally got my email yesterday asking me to submit my passport (although the online portal has still not been updated with any movement on my case). I printed off my document and took it and my passport to Mailbox in Holborn this morning (I just handed them over and didn’t have to pay anything FYI). I was told the passport should be back there in about two weeks, although it might be sooner. I’m not counting my chickens just yet as I know some people have still been rejected at this late stage but fingers crossed. Will update when I hear back. Good luck to those who are still waiting

That is absolutely incredible news after 528 days. So happy for you. Let's hope that Ninjabreadman, Terrier1982 and benjobrown hear something soon also, if they have not already done so.

All the best and keep us posted on the outcome.
