Now that is odd...My real father turned me down for a scolarship to a USA tennis school at 14 yrs old.

I have parents that have money but except for mum they are not keen on being supportive finacially..since mum is not the one with the cash it could prove to be hard. I dont know how I shall remain in the USA once I complete my studies...though I want to because its where I have wanted to live since I was 11 for some reason..Visited at 18 and decided I wanted to move...Though Im much older now and wish I had done this all years ago.

Strange!! I wanted to go at 16 on one but my parents weren't so keen at the time! Luckily I have very supportive parents and always have had- they want what's best for me and for me to be happy- such a cliche I know!

If you can still play tennis, check out schools that are in the NAIA division as they have no age limit- you may be able to get some sort of scholarship that way.

You have to remember that to get the visa it's not just tuition fees they will want you to be able to have cash for, it's everything and it has to have been in your bank account for a certain time I believe. You will have tough time convincing whoever is granting your visa that you will have no other expenses other than tuition.

Yes I agree. I am going to seek legal advice on the matter too.

I wont be staying on campus since I shall stay with parents as I say who will be paying fees and books also. Your right, sorting this out visa wise will be confuing and a challenge.

It seems on completion of education you might be able to obtain a H1-B? is it? to allow you to work after your international studies are over?

Depeding on the sort of job though I see...well I wonder if thats an option for me in Psychology

It's not just depending on the sort of job though. Remember that for H1B you need a company to sponsor you (approx cost of $5k) and they need to be prepared to wait for you (they'd normally apply in April and you can't start until Oct). Given the large amount of US citizens out of work, you need some pretty specialist skills for them to want to go through the cost and hassle.

Errr.....H1 straight off the bat, without experience is probably not going to happen.

After study, you get some time on OPT and could perhaps get a J1 which is kind of internship.

After that, the company you work for could sponsor a H1 but unless your working in academia it doesn't sound hopeful you'll have much luck.
