New Green Card Question-PLEASE

Will someone please answer one question for me please? It will be most
appreciated.
How long after receiving the Approval of Removal of Conditions does one
have to get to the local office to turn in the expired conditional 2
year green card and get the new 10 year green card?
My husband has not been able to get a week day off of work so far to be
able to travel to the closest office (120 miles) and line up at 5am to
be able to make it in when they open. It has been about 3 weeks since
the approval date.
Neither of us usually get home from work before 6pm when that national
customer service number shuts down with live agents according to the
recording.
I called my congressman's office to ask the same question. A lady said
she would check and call me back but so far I have not heard anything.
If anyone knows the answer, we would really appreciate it.
We are hoping there is enough time to allow him to wait until they can
approve him to be off on a regular work day. So far, he has perfect
attendance with his employer and really does not want to just call in
"sick" to have a day off.
Thanks for your help.

I don't believe there is a specific time, otherwise they would put one on
the letter. Obviously sooner is better than later!

I don't think it matters. You have the status even if you don't posess
the card. My wife went to the San Jose office over a month later as
there was no rush. She got the card from CSC about a week later.
I guess due to the change in the economy the lines are a little shorter
than they were 3 years ago. It's still a hassle they can't have
appointments like DMV.

Thanks so much for the answers. Makes us feel much better.
We've come too far to screw up now.
We do want to get it done as soon as possible. We just didn't want to
have problems at our jobs. We were hoping to have enough time to get a
day off approved the right way.
Thanks for your help.
