duration expires in March 2008. I stilol have to finish residency till June
2009.I have 2 questions:
1.Will my H1 limit start from when i got H1 or does that include me being on
H4 aswell?
2.Can i apply for extention for the visa status and if yes how long?
3. Will I have to do an application for GC? Myhusband is going back home
thanks for all replies in advance

OK.

I don't know what this means. What do you mean by "residency".

It includes the time on H-4; as you said at the top, your 6 years
expires in March 2008.

If your employer applies for Labor Certification for you to start the
GC process before March 2007, then they'll be able to extend your H-1B
a year at a time until the GC is approved. At a later stage in the
process, they'll be able to start extending the H-1B for 3 years at a
time.

I think she means, "residency at a hospital, working towards a medical
degree."
Nonresident aliens wishing to become doctors in the US, do a medical
residency
on an H1 visa.

All future medical doctors do a medical residency... American's of course don't
need a visa...
