Naturalization ... study book for civics test?
 

Someone was telling me that there is a book that you can use to study for the
citizenship civics test.

Yes, I know you can get the list of 100 questions/answers that they will ask you
from, but I'd like something that gives a little more detail and understanding than
just learning off the answers to the questions?

Anyone know what the name of this book is?

Yea right.

Haven't you had your interview/test as yet for citizenship? Thought it was due
sometime now? How did it go?

They have books you can purchase to prepare for the test. Also you may wish to check
your local schools as they often have night classes to prepare you for the
citizenship tests. (I know they do in our area.)

Don't you just memorise answers to the hundred questions?

If so, they are available on the INS website, and can be sent to you in the post (forms by mail).

I'd say your best bet is to go to the local public library where you live and ask for their referral. You can borrow the books at no cost and I'm sure you need more than just one to learn the workings of the political arena of the US and its history.

But as I mentioned in my original post, I wanted something that gives a little more
detail and understanding than just learning off the answers to the questions.

Oh that's perfect. I don't know how I missed those on the website. I also found [url-
="http://www.ins.gov/graphics/services/natz/ushist.pdf"]http://www.ins.gov/graphics/-
services/natz/ushist.pdf[/url] which is the history, as opposed to governmental
structure in the other pdf file.
