Naturalization process timeline
Give or take how long do PR to US Citizen process take to complete if there are no major complications? Obviously not possible for a specific answer but ballpark? Am I looking at 3 months or a year?
Thanks,
Andrew

Re: Naturalization process timeline
Some of it depends on how busy your local field office is, how often they do oath ceremonies etc.

Friend had his oath late spring in Dallas, TX. Took from November to May til the interview was scheduled.
You will not make this year's election.

Re: Naturalization process timeline
I applied in mid-August and was sworn in by November 9th! This was about 4 or 5 years ago.
However, it can vary greatly depending on where you are and how many applicants they have to deal with.

I found TRACKITT to be helpful when I was doing mine.
Here is MY TIMELINE - 116 days from beginning to end.

Re: Naturalization process timeline
I filed in April, was called for fingerprints the following month and have heard nothing since (Detroit USCIS center, filed application to the Phoeniz AZ mailing address). I would say 3 months is optimistic. 6 months is more likely.

My wife and I applied through Dallas Tx Field Office in March 2015. I became a USC in February 2016 and my wife has only just had her civics test/interview (i.e. last week), so my thought is that yours is a "how long is a piece of string" question.

Re: Naturalization process timeline
I filed at the beginning of November 2015, and was sworn in as a US Citizen (Boston, MA) at the end of March, so 4 months. Would have been March 9th, but they managed to lose the first letter inviting me to the oath ceremony.

Re: Naturalization process timeline
I filed on 2/29 this year and had my oath ceremony on 8/17. It took a total of 170 days, or 5 1/2 months. #oneMoreVoter
