Naturalization Oath Day!! POMONA,CA THE END!
I feel obligated to post here and thank everyone who contributed to
this newsgroup. I have been reading and getting free advise for you
guys for years. I appreciate you support and wish I could thank you
all personally. You saved us lots of attorney fees..
2/22/07
Got up at 6am to get ready drove to pomona fairplex and there were
cops and signs directing us to gate 17. Boatload of cars. Pay $8
dollars for parking and tried to find a spot. Got out and walked to
building 4. Mexican booth venders yelling "10 dolars certificate
protectors" There was a man with a Bullhorn yelling hurry up,
Interviews to the left, visitors to the right. Got in and handed my
letter and signed it, and she took my Green card. I really wanted to
keep that for memorabilia sack. They give you a an envelope with a
number sticker on it. (this number is used later to hand you the
certificate). So if it says 625 be ready to wait. Luckily Mine was 26.
We sit and wait for the judge. The judge arrives and the oath starts
then some guy from immigration talks about how great this day is and
then some military guys go to the front and everyone claps. Then some
lady sings the national anthem. Then we watch the President Video.
They start passing out the naturalization certificates by numbers.
After that the head of passport services tells us how to get our
passports. I run to the passport line and get in first and give the
USPS lady my application and naturalization Certificate and
application fee $67 +$30 processing fee + $15 so they don't fold the
certificate Usps lady tells me. Then took off to car and got out of
that grid lock asap. Luckily a lot of people were still inside. So the
sooner you get in the sooner you get out. It was really organized.
01/12/07 Interview San Bernardino
No cell phones. Go to 2nd floor. Put interview letter in box and
waited 1 hour. Then the door opens and she calls my name. I was so
nervous. She was straight forward. Looked at joint bank statements,
divorce decree, marriage certificate, taxes, birth certificate and
passport of wife. Asked are you still living same place and looked at
state ID. Then the test, who is congress, who was the first president,
what colors are the flag. She didn't ask what are the first 13
colonies. I studied so hard to remember those states. Told me to write
down "I live in the state of california". Passed test 100 %. She
approved me. I was shocked because of all the people complaining about
background check delays. So I ask her, did my background check clear.
She said yep.. WOW!. I come out and my wife was stunned, what's Wrong,
I'm done. Took 15 minutes. Wife thought something is wrong, that was
way to fast but I assured her Were done. I scrammed out yeahhhhh...I
couldn't help it. OK I can't remember the finger print date but I got
my conditional PR 3/3/03 and I applied for n-400 July of 2006.
Thank you for your support. I really wanted to thank all of you in
