naturalisation interview question

a person I know told me they are applying for citizenship. They told me

I got a letter telling me what to bring and how

Is it normal to have a seperate second letter with date and time or has her first letter somehow missed this info?

I recall receiving only one letter - I think your friend's situation is unusual, and she should make an effort to get more information.

I just posted about a similar situation yesterday.

That is EXACTLY what happened to me and now no one seems to know what is going on with my case. I have been told fingerprinting and everything cleared, but 4 months after that letter saying what to bring and what to wear, still no interview letter.

I keep getting told it's all normal, but if everything has cleared I just don't get why I am not getting the IL!

Good luck.

I only received one letter, N-465 (?) notice of Oath Ceremony. Gave me a date and location and also what not to wear. As an aside, I saw a bunch of people in shorts and flip flops (the shoes, not John Kerry).

I got a yellow letter similar to that. It said that I needed to bring additional documentation to the interview and what to wear when attending, but no date. The actual notice of the date came about 2 weeks later. So while it unsual it's not unheard of. Anyway got to go as I have my interview in a hour and a half!
