Can I ask hpw long the process took.

I applied in Feb '06, had fingerprints in August and hear nothing since.
The USCIS website reports that they are processing Feb applications - but no word for my case yet.

I am wondering if a quota may have been reached and things have slowed down.

Congratulations!

Depends where you filed and where your local INS office is located. It
took us from April when we filed N-400 till August/September when we
took the oath (the wife and son in August, me in September)

Here's a very good discussion forum I found. Helped us out a lot while
we were filing our N-400 this summer. It gives you an idea how others
fared, and especially a good idea of the timelines involved as they
vary wildly depending where you live and how sofisticated your local
INS/USCIS office is equipped and staffed.
