Naturalisation interview - approved!!

Phoenix office. It took just over three months from initial filing of the
N400 to approval. Not too bad at all! Now I have only to wait for the oath
ceremony and the journey is over :-)

Many thanks to everyone for their answers to questions I've asked
sporadically over the past 3 and a bit years; many thanks to everyone for
their answers to other peoples questions. I could have done it without this
newsgroup but it would have been *much* more confusing and difficult :-)

Wow, that is fast Rob, I filed on June 24th and my Priority Date is
June 30th. I had my fingerprint appointment on July 22nd at the Thomas
Rd Application Support Center.

I wasn't expecting to hear anything for a few months yet but I guess
things might be moving quicker!

Oh! I forgot! Congratulations!

Yeah, my priority date was May 18 - they hit me up for the fingerprinting on
June 8 but I had to postpone that (travel out of state). Did the
fingerprinting June 28 - got the interview notice July 7. Amazingly fast.
Hope this won't come across as advertising but I write the interview
experience up here. http://robmanderson.blogspot.com/2006/08/approved.html

Hi Rob,

Congratulations to you.

My wife is applying for her naturalization next week.

Do you live in Phoenix area?
We live in Tucson, will we be interviewed in Phoenix or in Tucson?
Do I have to show up with my wife for the interview?
Will they interview both of us or just her?

Thank You

Shahrokh

Hi Shahrokh,

I'm pretty sure the naturalization will take place in Tucson. They will only interview your wife, not you. Even if you go with her, you have to wait in the waiting room, you can't go into the interview with her.

Best Wishes,
Rene

Hi Rene,
Thanks for the advice.
I am still trying to get a time estimate on how long would it take for them to set her a date for the interview.

Sincerely Yours,

Shahrokh
